ART THOUGHTZ with HENNESSY YOUNGMAN

Jayson Musson (aka Hennessey Youngman) describing his sweater-paintings

Let me introduce you to someone that I learned about approximately 30 minutes ago and subsequently, fell in love with. (credit to Johnie Shimon)

His name is Hennessey Youngman.

On his Youtube channel he describes himself as someone who just "notices things" and I would add that he talks about these "things" in ways others can understand; he makes art, institutions, systems, etc. accessible to people. Much of what he says is subjective, but what isn't in the art world?

Below he has a "webisode" in which he talks about Damien Hirst and money-making artists of the art world.
Disclaimer: Language may be offensive to some.

Youngman has youtube videos on institutions, art-making, relational aesthetics, and others of the likes titled anything from "Art Thoughtz: How To Be A Succesful Black Artist" to "How To Make An Art":

Whether you agree with Hennessey or not, whether you like Hennessey or not there is no denying the fact this guy is ON to something. Hennessey earned a BFA in Photography from the University of the Arts, Philadelphia and an MFA in Painting from the University of Philadelphia. Jayson Musson (the real life Hennessey Youngman) was also an original member of the rap group Plastic Little.
